Desert Broom

Baccharis sarothroides, commonly known as Desert Broom, is a fast-growing, evergreen shrub native to the Southwestern United States and Mexico. It features a dense, upright growth habit with numerous slender, green branches that give it a broom-like appearance. While its leaves are small and sparse, the plant provides excellent texture and erosion control in arid landscapes. In autumn, female plants produce masses of white, silky seed heads that create a striking snowy effect.
