Create design onlineAbout Scopia® Double Snowball Bacopa
Scopia® Double Snowball is a compact bacopa selected for large, double white flowers and a semi-trailing form. [Breeder Danziger](https://www.danzigeronline.com/catalog/annuals/scopia-double-snowball/) lists it at 6–8 inches tall and 12–14 inches wide, with early flowering and a form suited to hanging baskets and mixed containers.
## Form and flowering
The rounded upper growth and trailing stems let the plant fill a container while softening its edge. The double flowers distinguish this selection from single-flowered bacopa; Danziger lists flower type as double and describes the cultivar as semi-trailing. [Ball Seed’s exact product record](https://info.ballseed.com/WEBTRACKPLANTINFO.ASPX?PHID=008503246028583&env=P) identifies the cultivar denomination as ‘Dancop48’ and describes mounded, spreading, trailing growth. Its technical page calls the flowering response early, which refers to production timing rather than a specific calendar season.
## Siting
[Meilland Richardier’s cultivar page](https://www.meillandrichardier.com/bacopa-scopia-double-snowball-mini-mottes.html) describes the exact selection as white-flowered, semi-trailing, and suited to sun or partial shade; it lists June–October flowering in its climate. Give it steady moisture in a freely draining potting mix. Bacopa performs best when it does not dry out during active growth; containers may need frequent checks in warm or windy weather. Use it in a basket or as a low trailing component in a mixed planter, leaving space for its 12–14 inch spread.
## Maintenance
Water when the surface of the potting mix begins to dry, while allowing excess water to drain. Remove damaged stems and spent flowers if the plant looks untidy. In frost-prone climates it is generally treated as a warm-season annual; protect or replace it before damaging cold.
