About Scopia® Guilliver Compact White Bacopa

Scopia® Gulliver™ Compact White is a compact, well-branched bacopa with white flowers and a low, spreading outline. Its modest height and basket suitability make it a useful light-colored edge plant in mixed containers and hanging baskets. ## Cultivar and landscape use Danziger lists the exact cultivar as Bacopa (Sutera cordata), with a compact habit, 4–6 in. (10–15 cm) height, and 12–14 in. (30–36 cm) width. It is recommended for pots and hanging baskets. The breeder's [Compact White page](https://www.danzigeronline.com/catalog/annuals/scopia-gulliver-compact-white/) distinguishes it from the separately named Dynamic White, which has a wider 15–17 in. spread. Danziger's Compact series guide gives spring/summer flowering; the exact flowering window can vary with climate and growing conditions. ## Siting and moisture Illinois Extension recommends full sun to very light afternoon shade for bacopa, with moist, well-drained soil. Keep the root zone evenly moist because dry soil can interrupt flowering and cause buds to drop. The plant is best placed where regular watering is practical, especially in containers that dry faster than garden soil. ## Maintenance Water containers as the mix begins to dry, while allowing excess water to drain. Check the plant during hot spells and avoid letting the root ball dry completely. Lightly shorten stems if they outgrow the intended outline.
