Create design onlineAbout Be My® Sunshine Calla Lily
Be My® Sunshine is the golden-yellow calla lily selection Copacabana, with upright stems and green foliage. Its long-lasting summer spathes suit containers, borders, and cut-flower arrangements.
### Growing conditions
Grow in full sun to part shade in moist, well-drained soil. The [Proven Winners profile](https://www.provenwinners.com/plants/calla-lily/be-my-sunshine-calla-lily-zantedeschia-hybrid) lists an 18–24 inch mature height, a 9–12 inch spread, and hardiness zones 8a–13b. Keep the root zone consistently moist while the plant is actively growing, while ensuring excess water can drain away. In climates colder than its listed hardiness, use it as a seasonal container plant or protect the rhizomes from freezing.
### Garden use
Set the pot near an entry or patio, or use the plant in a warm border where its bright spathes can be seen. The upright form also works as a focal element in mixed containers. Flowers can be cut for indoor arrangements; remove the lower leaves from stems before placing them in water.
## Maintenance
Water consistently during growth and avoid waterlogged soil. Remove spent flower stems and damaged leaves, then reduce watering as the foliage declines. In cold regions, lift and store the rhizomes or move containers to a frost-free place.
