Bewitched Silver is a Rex begonia in the Bewitched series, grown for its cut, silvery foliage and compact, branching display. It works as a textural foliage accent in a bright room or a shaded patio container.
## Selection and foliage
[Green Fuse Botanicals](https://green-fuse.com/new/begonia-rex-bewitched/) lists Silver as a Bewitched Rex selection, and [Greenhouse Grower](https://www.greenhousegrower.com/crops/varieties/new-2021-variety-intros-from-green-fuse-botanicals/) names the exact variety while describing the series’ cut leaves, full branching habit and quick greenhouse finish. Silver is a foliage selection; the available variety text does not specify an exact pattern or flower color, so the description stays with its documented role as a silver-toned Rex foliage plant.
## Growing conditions
Rex begonias are tender, rhizomatous perennials usually kept as houseplants or seasonal container plants. [NCSU Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/begonia-rex-types/common-name/painted-leaf-begonia/) notes that rex foliage can include silver, green, pink, red and purple, and recommends bright indirect light, high humidity and moist but well-drained soil. Avoid strong direct sun and do not mist the leaves. Green Fuse gives the Bewitched series a general garden height of 15–18 inches; finished size varies with growing conditions and container size. Bring outdoor plants in before frost.
## Maintenance
Water as the potting mix begins to dry, allowing free drainage and never leaving the pot standing in water. Remove old leaves at their base and provide gentle air movement. Keep humidity up with a pebble tray or nearby humidifier rather than wetting foliage.
