Dibs Amber - Begonia

Dibs Amber is a named selection in Green Fuse Botanicals’ Rex Begonia Dibs collection. Ball Seed lists Dibs Amber as a Begonia Rex line and describes the series as vigorous, quick to crop, and proven in garden trials. Like other Rex begonias, it is grown primarily for its ornamental foliage and is best kept in a sheltered, frost-free setting. ## Collection and growing conditions Green Fuse lists Amber among the Dibs Rex Begonias. Ball Seed describes Dibs Amber as a partial-sun crop and notes high vigor and quick production compared with other Rex lines. These are grower and trial observations, so performance can vary with conditions. RHS describes Rex hybrids as tender, foliage-grown rhizomatous begonias. Provide shade in summer, water while maintaining good drainage, and reduce watering in winter. Protect the plant from frost; a sheltered container or indoor position allows growing conditions to be adjusted through the year. ## Maintenance Keep the growing mix moist but well drained during active growth. Reduce watering in winter and remove damaged leaves as needed. Protect from cold and avoid leaving the container standing in water.
