Dibs® Sangria - Begonia

Dibs™ Sangria is a named selection in Green Fuse Botanicals’ Rex Begonia Dibs collection. Rex begonias are grown for their ornamental foliage and are tender, rhizomatous plants. Sangria is best kept in a shaded, sheltered position where its foliage can be enjoyed in a container or indoors. ## Collection and growing conditions Green Fuse lists Sangria among its Begonia Rex Dibs cultivars. RHS describes Rex hybrids as tender, foliage-grown rhizomatous begonias. Provide shade in summer and water while keeping the growing mix well drained; reduce watering in winter. Protect the plant from frost. A movable container or indoor position is practical where outdoor temperatures become too cold. Rex begonias vary in leaf form and markings, so allow the individual plant’s natural foliage to provide its seasonal interest rather than expecting a uniform pattern across all plants. ## Maintenance Keep the mix moist but well drained during active growth, and reduce watering in winter. Remove damaged leaves and protect the plant from frost.
