Begonia HOLIDAY™ 'Jolly Holly'

Begonia HOLIDAY™ ‘Jolly Holly’ is a shade-grown foliage begonia with glossy green, holly-like leaves embossed and marked in silver, plus small winter flowers. TERRA NOVA’s [breeder profile](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/begonia-holiday-jolly-holly/) describes the leaf pattern, pink flowers, mounding habit, full shade, and USDA zones 9–11. Its male winter flowers remain closed and resemble holly berries; [Monrovia’s exact cultivar listing](https://www.monrovia.com/begonia-holiday-tm-jolly-holly.html) also reports winter flowering and pink blooms. ## Siting The breeder lists it for shade landscapes and containers and describes rich, moist, porous soil. Keep it protected from cold; outside zones 9–11 it is typically treated as a tender seasonal or indoor plant. ## Maintenance Keep the growing medium evenly moist but well drained, and avoid harsh direct sun. Leave space for its approximately 17 × 22 inch mound when planting it in a shade garden or container.
