Dragon Wing® Red Bronze Leaf is a large-flowered interspecific hybrid grown as a warm-season bedding plant, container specimen, or hanging-basket plant. PAS1085250 combines red flowers with dark bronze foliage, and its broad arching form suits containers, baskets, or summer beds. PanAmerican Seed and RHS list this named selection.
## Growing conditions
Plants typically reach 12–15 inches tall and 15–18 inches wide. Plant outdoors after frost danger has passed. Dragon Wing adapts to sun or shade, but partial shade helps protect foliage in hot afternoon conditions. Use fertile, humus-rich soil that stays evenly moist while draining well; do not let containers stand in water or dry completely. Allow room for the mature plant, and use a roomy container or hanging basket for its arching stems.
## Season and care
The breeder lists flowering from spring through autumn and describes vigorous, easy-care performance in warm southern conditions as well as cooler regions. Remove damaged stems as needed and keep fallen flowers swept from hard surfaces. The University of Arkansas extension also notes heat and humidity tolerance and recommends fertile, well-drained organic soil.
## Red flowers and bronze foliage
The warm red flower color stands out against the darker leaf surface. Use it as a focal point or repeat it through a summer planting; the mixed flower and leaf color gives the plant interest between flushes of bloom.

## Maintenance
Keep the soil moist but well drained, especially in containers. Remove weather-damaged stems as needed and avoid frost exposure.
