Bada Bing® Scarlet is a red-flowered Begonia semperflorens F1 selection in Syngenta’s green-leaved Bada Bing® series. It forms a compact mound 8–10 inches tall and 6–8 inches wide, with flowering from mid-spring through summer. This small, early-flowering begonia suits bedding, low borders, window boxes, and patio containers.
## Growing conditions
Choose full shade, part shade, or part sun, and provide moist, humus-rich soil that drains freely. Wax begonias adapt to a range of light conditions; the exact Syngenta product profile lists this selection as mounding and gives its garden dimensions and bloom period. See [Syngenta’s Bada Bing® Scarlet profile](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70071001) and [NC State Extension’s wax begonia guide](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/begonia-wax-types/common-name/wax-leaf-begonia/).
## Maintenance
Keep the soil evenly moist without leaving it waterlogged, and water during dry spells. Check for mealybugs, thrips, rot, and fungal disease. In cold climates, remove bedding plants after frost or bring container plants indoors before temperatures fall.
