Harmony Plus Scarlet is a compact bedding begonia with scarlet flowers and darker bronze foliage. Ball Seed lists this mounding selection in its Harmony Plus series, bred for larger blooms and earlier flowering than original Harmony; the series reaches 8–10 inches tall and 6–8 inches wide ([Ball Seed](https://info.ballseed.com/PlantInfo/?phid=009208839004940)).
## Placement and growing conditions
Repeat it along bed edges or use it in patio containers for a scarlet accent against dark leaves. Ball Seed lists sun to partial sun. University of Minnesota Extension advises shade or morning sun, protection from afternoon sun, and freely draining soil. Water consistently, letting excess water drain to reduce root-rot risk ([University of Minnesota Extension](https://extension.umn.edu/garden-and-home/yard-and-garden/gardening-in-minnesota/begonia)).
## Seasonal care
Set plants outdoors after frost danger. Containers dry faster in warm spells and should be checked often. In cold-winter areas, grow it as a warm-season annual.
## Maintenance
Clear spent plant debris and remove damaged leaves when needed. Give plants room for airflow and avoid routinely wetting foliage during irrigation.
