About Sprint Plus Orange Begonia

Sprint Plus Orange is a compact wax begonia with bright orange bicolored flowers and an early, uniform display. Benary lists the Orange Bicolor selection at about 9 inches tall and recommends partial shade to sun for packs, pots, hanging baskets, mixed containers, and landscapes ([Benary culture guide](https://www.norseco.com/pdf/60_1343M_AN.pdf)). ## Flowers and placement Use it in bedding groups or near the front of mixed containers, where its rounded growth and two-toned flowers can be seen. The Sprint Plus series was introduced as a Begonia semperflorens selection for early flowering ([Greenhouse Grower](https://www.greenhousegrower.com/crops/ernst-benary-of-america-takes-plant-fashion-week-to-the-california-spring-trial-runway/)). ## Growing conditions Provide sun to partial shade and fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Wax begonias are tender perennials commonly grown as annual bedding; the [RHS profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/25707/begonia-semperflorens-hort/details) describes summer-to-autumn flowers and recommends moist, well-drained conditions. RHS hardiness ratings are UK-specific and do not establish a USDA zone. ## Maintenance Water during dry weather, especially in containers, and let excess water drain. Plant outdoors after frost danger has passed. Remove damaged growth when needed, and protect from frost or use as seasonal bedding in cold-winter climates.
