Yin Rose Dwarf Begonia

Yin Rose is a compact wax begonia with rose-pink flowers and bronze foliage. Its mounded shape makes it useful for edging seasonal beds or adding a low flowering accent to a container. ## Size and placement The [Ball Seed Yin and Yang series brochure](https://info.ballseed.com/MarketingPDF.aspx?blobid=286) lists Yin Rose among the series color forms, describes Yin as bronze-leaved and mounded, and gives approximate mature dimensions of 6–8 inches tall by 10–12 inches wide. Allow space for the plant to spread as it fills in. Wax begonias grow in varied light after establishment and prefer moist, well-drained organic soil, according to the [North Carolina Extension profile](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/begonia-wax-types/). ## Seasonal growing Use Yin Rose for warm-season color in beds and containers. The [University of Illinois Extension profile](https://web.extension.illinois.edu/hortanswers/plantdetail.cfm?PlantID=5&PlantTypeID=1) describes wax begonias as tender annuals with prolonged bloom in sun to shade. In frost-prone regions, plan to replace or protect plants before cold weather. ## Maintenance Water consistently while allowing excess moisture to drain. Check container soil more often in hot weather, remove damaged growth, and keep plants sheltered from frost.
