Begonia T REX™ 'First Blush'

T REX® ‘First Blush’ is a vigorous begonia with silvery lavender leaves lightly marked with raspberry. The foliage provides a strong accent in shade borders and mixed containers. ## Seasonal display The [Terra Nova cultivar profile](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/begonia-t-rex-first-blush/) lists 16 inches tall and wide, full shade, pink flowers and USDA zones 9–11. Its page gives a flowering window of June through October, while the expanded details list June through September. The profile also identifies patent PP25974 and a mounding habit. ## Growing conditions Terra Nova recommends fertile, rich, moist soil with good porosity and even moisture. The T REX® series can be grown indoors or outdoors and is described as cold tolerant when protected from freezing conditions. ## Maintenance Keep the soil evenly moist but well drained. Shelter foliage from strong direct sun and remove damaged leaves as needed. In colder locations, use winter protection or grow the plant seasonally.
