About Nonstop Yellow Tuberous Begonia

Nonstop Yellow is a tuberous begonia with double, bright yellow flowers and green foliage. NC State Extension lists this named selection at 8–12 inches tall and describes tuberous begonias as useful for containers and seasonal beds. ## Flowers and placement The [NC State cultivar entry](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/begonia-tuberous-types/common-name/tuberous-begonia/) identifies Nonstop Yellow and its flower color, foliage, and height. Place it at the front of a bed, in a window box, or in a container where the yellow blooms are easy to see. Allow room for the plant to spread and leave space between plants for airflow. ## Growing conditions Choose partial or dappled shade and organically rich soil that stays moist but drains well. Tuberous begonias can tolerate some early morning or late afternoon sun, but protect them from strong wind and excessive exposure. ## Maintenance Water when the growing medium begins to dry and remove faded flowers and damaged foliage. In colder climates, lift the tubers before frost, dry them, and store them in a cool, dry place until late winter. Bring containers indoors before the first frost.
