Bronze Leaf Red Whopper Begonia

Whopper Red Bronze Leaf is a large landscape begonia with red flowers and bronze foliage. Ball Seed lists the Whopper selection as mounded, about 30–34 inches tall and 22 inches wide, with flowers from spring through fall. ## Landscape Use Use it in broad containers, mass plantings, and large garden beds where its vigorous growth and bright flowers have room to show. The [Ball Seed cultivar profile](https://info.ballseed.com/WEBTRACKPLANTINFO.ASPX?PHID=009206320004473&env=P) lists the plant’s habit, dimensions, flowering season, and use in beds and containers. ## Siting Whopper grows in shade or partial sun. Give it room to fill out, and provide regular water during active growth. Ball Seed describes it as heat tolerant and medium in water needs; consistent moisture is especially helpful in large containers. ## Maintenance Feed during the growing season and remove spent or damaged growth as needed. Keep enough space around plants for airflow. Protect the plant from frost in cold-winter areas, and treat it as seasonal landscape color where winters are severe.
