Adora Velvet Red Begonia

Adora™ Velvet Red is a compact, mounded begonia hybrid with petite double red flowers above dark green foliage. Its 8–12-inch height and 10–14-inch spread suit containers and hanging baskets. ## Landscape use Plant it in a patio pot, hanging basket, or partly sunny border where its flowers can be enjoyed up close. Syngenta describes the Adora series as medium vigor and suited to a range of container sizes. ## Siting and growth The breeder recommends part sun and lists this selection as an annual. It gives an 8–12-inch height, 10–14-inch spread, and USDA zones 9–11. Use well-drained growing medium and keep the root area evenly moist without leaving the pot waterlogged. The [Syngenta Flowers profile](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70099850) identifies the exact Velvet Red selection and its size, exposure, season, and flower color. ## Maintenance Water at the soil line when practical and let excess drain from the container. Remove damaged leaves and spent flowers when needed for appearance. Protect the plant from frost; in colder climates, grow it as seasonal bedding.
