Bowler™ Bronze Leaf White Begonia

Bowler™ Bronze Leaf White is a mounding interspecific begonia with large white flowers and chocolate-bronze foliage. Syngenta reports occasional green-leaved plants within the selection and lists it for annual use. ## Flowers and form The contrasting flowers and foliage suit seasonal containers, patio pots, hanging baskets, and garden beds. Syngenta lists flowering in mid-spring and summer and describes the plant as a heat lover. ## Size and siting The current product profile gives a height of 12–18 inches and a spread of 20–24 inches, with exposure from full shade through full sun. An older Syngenta culture guide lists a narrower 14–18 inch production width; garden dimensions can vary with growing conditions. The profile lists USDA zones 9a–11a for perennial potential in warm areas; elsewhere it is grown as an annual. ## Maintenance Use well-drained growing medium and allow it to begin drying between irrigations, following the breeder’s culture guidance. Check containers as they can dry sooner than beds, and remove damaged foliage or spent flower clusters to keep the display tidy.
