Tophat™ White Begonia

Tophat™ White is an upright interspecific begonia with pure-white flowers and large blooms. Syngenta lists it for late-spring and summer flowering, with exposure from full shade to part sun. ## Flowers and placement The White selection adds color within the Tophat series. Syngenta describes the series as early finishing, with large blooms and uses ranging from packs to patio containers. Its shade tolerance suits a bright, sheltered bed or container. ## Size and siting The cultivar reaches 16–20 inches tall and 20–24 inches wide. Syngenta lists USDA zone 11a; in colder climates, it is grown as a warm-season annual. The upright habit gives it presence in a mixed planting while leaving room for neighboring plants. ## Maintenance Use a free-draining growing medium and water thoroughly, then allow it to begin drying before watering again, following the Tophat culture guide. Check containers regularly in warm weather and remove damaged foliage or faded flowers as needed.
