Beyond Pink'd Bluebeard

Beyond Pink’d is a compact bluebeard with pink flowers and glossy green foliage. Its late-season blooms add color to sunny borders and attract pollinators. ## Cultivar and season The [Proven Winners Direct profile](https://provenwinnersdirect.com/products/beyond-pinkd-bluebeard) describes Beyond Pink’d as Caryopteris incana with 2–2.5 feet of mature height and spread, pink flowers, green foliage, and blooms from late summer through mid-fall. It lists hardiness in zones 7–9 and notes that established plants tolerate drought. ## Siting Plant in full sun and well-drained soil. Water regularly through the first summer; once established, Caryopteris tolerates drought, as the [RHS growing guide](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/caryopteris/growing-guide) explains. ## Maintenance Caryopteris blooms on new wood. The [RHS growing guide](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/caryopteris/growing-guide) recommends cutting stems back hard in spring after the risk of severe frost has passed. Avoid very fertile soil, which can encourage loose growth and reduce flowering.
