Doubloon Gold - Bidens

Doubloon Gold is listed in commercial grower catalogs as a Bidens selection; the available listing verifies the name but does not provide a reliable cultivar-specific mature size or complete care profile. Treat the dimensions as unresolved until a breeder or detailed grower specification for this exact code is available. ## Growth and placement The [BFG Supply program](https://www.bfgsupply.com/media/6204/2022-2023-pell-product-program.pdf) lists Doubloon Gold as a Bidens plug offering. A separate [Germania Seed catalog](https://www.germaniaseed.com/pdf/2022/2022_plant_EB.pdf) lists Doubloon as bright yellow and distinguishes Doubloon Red Bicolor, but does not establish a precise mature height, spread, or USDA range for code BDOUB01-0. The [Royal Horticultural Society’s Bidens ferulifolia profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/27935/bidens-ferulifolia/details) provides general species context for full sun and moist, well-drained soil, but the available catalogs do not establish that this coded selection is that species. Use a supplier’s exact cultural sheet for cultivar-specific size and site requirements. ## Maintenance If following general Bidens practice, choose a bright, freely draining site and provide moisture while plants establish. Confirm supplier guidance before setting spacing, irrigation, or pinching for this coded selection. In garden use, monitor the plant’s actual spread and trim it if it overtakes neighboring plants; do not rely on species-level maximum spread as a cultivar target.
