Sunshine Double™ Bidens ferulifolia

Sunshine Double™ is a Bidens ferulifolia selection with showy yellow daisy-like flowers that may be single, semi-double, or double, set against finely divided green foliage. Its mounded to semi-trailing growth and long flowering season suit patio containers, hanging baskets, and sunny beds. ## Growth and placement The [Danziger breeder page](https://www.danzigeronline.com/catalog/annuals/sunshine-double/) identifies Sunshine Double in the TIMELESS™ collection and lists early flowering, heat tolerance, pollinator value, and use in hanging baskets and landscapes. [SiteOne’s cultivar listing](https://www.siteone.com/en/96746b-bidens-ferulifolia-timeless-sunshine-double-apache-beggarticks/p/1052855) reports spring-to-fall bloom, full sun, a maximum height of 14 inches, width of 8–24 inches, and USDA zones 8a–11b. The [RHS species profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/27935/bidens-ferulifolia/details) recommends well-drained soil; local frost exposure and container culture affect seasonal performance. ## Maintenance Plant in a sunny position with drainage and water regularly while establishing. In pots, check moisture more often in hot or windy weather. The Danziger profile indicates early flowering and heat tolerance; occasional trimming can keep trailing stems within the container, while spent flowers need not be removed routinely.
