Yellow Splash™ Improved Bidens ferulifolia

Yellow Splash™ Improved is an early-flowering Bidens ferulifolia with yellow daisy-like flowers and a mounded to semi-trailing form. Its branching stems make it useful for hanging baskets, mixed containers, and the edge of a sunny bed, where it can soften the transition between plants. ## Growth and placement The [Danziger breeder page](https://www.danzigeronline.com/catalog/annuals/yellow-splash-imp/) lists Yellow Splash Improved as early flowering, heat tolerant, pollinator friendly, and suitable for baskets and landscapes. The [Mast Young Plants 2026 catalog](https://online.flippingbook.com/view/802025677) describes the Danziger selection as mounded and gives 10–12 inches as a grower height. The [RHS Bidens ferulifolia profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/27935/bidens-ferulifolia/details) recommends full sun and moist but well-drained soil. ## Maintenance Choose a bright site with freely draining soil. Water young plants regularly, then adjust to rainfall and container moisture. Keep baskets from drying out during hot spells, and trim stems if they extend beyond the intended planting area. Remove damaged growth as needed; a routine hard cutback is not required for a seasonal annual display.
