About Flaming Torch Billbergia

Billbergia pyramidalis, known as the Flaming Torch, is a vigorous, clump-forming bromeliad that grows both terrestrially and epiphytically. It features leathery, strap-like emerald green leaves arranged in a water-holding basal rosette. In late summer, it produces a spectacular, upright inflorescence of scarlet flowers tipped with violet. Highly adaptable and drought-tolerant, it thrives in partial to full shade, making it an excellent groundcover or accent for tropical landscapes.
