Bischofia javanica, commonly known as Bishop Wood, is a fast-growing, medium to large deciduous tree characterized by its dense, rounded crown and trifoliate, glossy green leaves. Native to Southeast Asia and the Pacific, it thrives in wet tropical biomes and prefers full sun with consistently moist, loamy soil. Its reddish-brown bark and durable hardwood make it valuable for construction and furniture, while its spreading canopy provides excellent shade in plantations and large landscapes.
