Boldly® Dark Red Geranium

Boldly® Dark Red is an interspecific geranium selected as ‘Amri Trared’, with a mounded habit and deep-red flowers. It grows about 10–12 inches tall and 12–20 inches wide, making it a compact choice for containers or the front of a sunny planting. ### Light and flowering The [Proven Winners plant profile](https://www.provenwinners.com/plants/pelargonium/boldly-dark-red-geranium-pelargonium-interspecific) lists part sun to sun and flowering in spring and summer. It identifies the selection as an annual and gives USDA Zones 9–11; outside those zones it is commonly grown as a seasonal bedding plant. The foliage is green, and the cultivar’s red blooms are listed as continuous or reblooming. ### Placement and care Use it as a container filler or in a landscape bed with room for its 12–20-inch spread. Average water and soil fertility suit the profile. In containers, check moisture more often in hot weather and avoid leaving roots in standing water. ## Maintenance Remove spent flowers regularly to encourage continued blooming. Apply compost or fertilizer to garden beds annually and feed potted plants regularly during active growth.
