Create design onlineAbout Bombshell Coral Pink Mandevilla
Bombshell® Coral Pink is an upright mandevilla with glossy green leaves and coral-pink flowers. Proven Winners lists a mature height of 18–24 inches and a spread of 12–14 inches, with hardiness in USDA Zones 9a–11b and blooms from spring through fall.
## Form and flowering
The selection is Mandevilla sanderi ‘MANZ0001’ (PP29276). It is a bushy, well-branched plant with limited vining, though stems can be trained onto a support. The developer describes coral-pink flowers, heat and humidity tolerance, and a long flowering season. It works in containers or landscape beds as a compact focal point; the developer’s 12–18 inch spacing recommendation is for planting distance, while the separate spread figure is 12–14 inches.
## Site
Use part sun to full sun and soil that remains evenly moist but drains well. Proven Winners lists the plant for Zones 9a–11b; in colder areas it can be grown as a warm-season annual. ## Maintenance
Water consistently during active growth without keeping the roots saturated. Prolonged drought can cause leaf drop. Lightly trim wayward stems and remove damaged growth; deadheading is not needed for the plant to continue flowering.
