About Surfers Candelabra

Brunsvigia littoralis, commonly known as the Surfer's Candelabra, is a striking bulbous geophyte native to the coastal sands of South Africa's Eastern Cape. This species is characterized by its large bulb and an impressive umbel of twenty to forty red to pink flowers that bloom in late summer. Following the floral display, it produces about eighteen upright, twisted, or frill-edged leaves. It thrives in well-drained soils and requires deep containers to accommodate its extensive root system.
