Create design onlineAbout Blueberry Pie™ Butterfly Bush
Blueberry Pie® is a compact hybrid butterfly bush with fragrant purple-blue flower clusters. Bloomin’ Easy lists a mature size of 2–3 feet high and wide, full-sun exposure, and blooms from summer into fall. The cultivar code PODARASNGA 9-15 matches the scientific name in the live record.
## Form and placement
Use this small shrub in a sunny border, pollinator planting, or a container with enough root volume and drainage. The breeder describes its flowers as attractive to bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, and lists zones 5–9. Allow roughly 3 feet between plants when following the published spacing guidance.
## Growing conditions
Provide full sun and soil that drains well. Keep a newly planted shrub evenly watered as it establishes; later irrigation should reflect rainfall, soil, and summer heat. Bloomin’ Easy labels the cultivar drought tolerant, but that does not remove the need for establishment watering or guarantee performance in prolonged drought. Flowering is listed for summer and fall; exact timing varies with climate.

## Maintenance
Leave room for a plant approximately 2–3 feet tall and wide. Remove spent clusters for appearance if desired. Prune selectively in spring after winter damage is visible, and avoid cutting back in fall in colder climates unless local guidance recommends it.
