Golden Triumph Variegated Little Leaf Boxwood

Golden Triumph is an accepted Buxus microphylla cultivar. The [Royal Horticultural Society profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/197749/buxus-microphylla-golden-triumph-v/details) describes a hardy, compact, dense, slow-growing evergreen with young yellow foliage maturing to variegated green and yellow. Monrovia lists USDA zones 5–9, full or partial sun, and mature dimensions of 2–3 feet high by 3–4 feet wide. ## Siting Grow in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Light shade is preferable in dry sites because full sun can dull or scorch foliage. Use for hedging, borders, or containers. ## Maintenance Water regularly while establishing. RHS recommends summer pruning, with renovation pruning in late spring; mulch and apply a general fertilizer after hard pruning. The cultivar is slow growing, so allow time for it to reach mature size.
