Calamagrostis x acutiflora 'Overdam' is a compact, clump-forming grass prized for its striking variegated foliage. The narrow leaves feature green centers with creamy-white margins, creating a luminous effect. In summer, it produces upright, feathery flower plumes that emerge pinkish-purple before maturing to a golden-tan. This cool-season grass thrives in full sun to part shade and prefers moist soils, though it is tolerant of heavy clay. It provides excellent vertical structure for borders, mass plantings, or containers.
