About Costa™ Light Yellow Calendula

Costa™ Light Yellow is a compact, upright calendula selected for pale yellow flowers and uniform, well-branched growth. Syngenta lists this color under its Costa series and recommends the series for sunny sites, spring and summer flowering, and small pots. Its light blooms bring a softer note to cool-season containers and front-of-border displays. ## Garden use and flowering The breeder describes Costa as early and suitable alongside pansies and violas, with a 25–30 cm garden height and width. Costa Light Yellow is listed as a distinct color variety, not a generic yellow calendula. It works well in a sunny pot or repeated in a small seasonal bed. ## Growing conditions Calendula grows in full sun or partial shade and does best in light, free-draining soil. Keep container soil from drying completely, but let excess water drain. Flowering timing varies by climate; the Costa series profile lists late spring and summer. Leave space for the plant’s upright, branched form.
