About Costa™ Orange Calendula

Costa™ Orange is the orange-flowered color variety in Syngenta’s compact Costa calendula series. The breeder describes the line as early, uniform, and well branched, with an upright habit and a 25–30 cm garden height and spread. Its vivid flowers brighten sunny spring and summer containers and small seasonal plantings. ## Garden use and flowering Costa Orange is offered as a separate color selection, alongside Costa Yellow, Costa Light Yellow, and Costa Mix. The Costa series is recommended for small pots and packs and is an early companion to pansies and violas. Its tidy upright outline makes it useful where a modest-sized display is wanted. ## Growing conditions Grow in sun and in light, free-draining soil. Water consistently while plants establish and flower, especially in pots, while avoiding waterlogged roots. General calendula guidance also supports partial shade, but the Costa breeder profile lists sun exposure. Water containers as needed and ensure drainage holes remain clear.
