About Costa™ Yellow Calendula

Costa™ Yellow is the yellow-flowered color variety in Syngenta’s compact Costa calendula series. The breeder describes the line as early, uniform, and well branched, with an upright habit and 25–30 cm garden height and spread. It brings clear yellow color to sunny spring and summer pots, packs, and small seasonal plantings. ## Garden use and flowering Syngenta offers Costa Yellow as a separate color selection, along with Costa Light Yellow, Costa Orange, and Costa Mix. Costa’s early flowering pairs well with pansies and violas, while its compact size fits small containers. The product page lists late spring and summer flowering. ## Growing conditions Choose a sunny position with light, free-draining soil. Water during dry spells and more often in pots, allowing excess water to drain. General calendula guidance notes that plants can tolerate partial shade, although the Costa breeder profile recommends sun.
