Create design onlineAbout Bumble Bee™ Orange Calibrachoa
Bumble Bee™ Orange is a calibrachoa selected for orange-and-red bicolor flowers with a yellow throat patterned like a bee ([Ball FloraPlant](https://www.ballfloraplant.com/Products/Details/?phid=066006686003789)). The branching plant produces abundant blooms and is listed by Ball FloraPlant at 6–12 inches tall and 12–24 inches wide, with sun to partial-sun exposure. Its vivid star pattern is especially effective in a basket or container viewed at close range.
## Garden use
Use it as a colorful spiller around the rim of a hanging basket, in a patio pot, or in a mixed container with plants that contrast with its warm orange tones. The Ball FloraPlant collection emphasizes full containers and flowers that remain open under lower light.
## Light, soil, and water
Give the plant a sunny location and fertile, moist but well-drained soil ([Illinois Extension](https://extension.illinois.edu/flowers/calibrachoa)). Calibrachoa generally performs best in full sun; container mix should not be allowed to become waterlogged. Check baskets more often during warm, windy weather because their limited soil volume dries quickly.
## Seasonal interest
This tender calibrachoa is grown for its flowers through the warm season. In regions with cold winters, treat it as an annual and enjoy the display until frost.
## Maintenance
Water regularly as the potting mix begins to dry and feed according to the fertilizer label. Its excellent branching helps create a full appearance; trim any stems that extend beyond the desired outline. Routine deadheading is usually unnecessary for calibrachoa.
