Cabaret® 'Purple' Calibrachoa

Cabaret® ‘Purple’ is a medium-mounded calibrachoa with violet-purple flowers ([Ball FloraPlant](https://www.ballfloraplant.com/Products/Details/?phid=066003480004341)). Its compact rounded growth fits patio containers and baskets, bringing a strong color accent alongside lighter or contrasting flowers. ## Flowers and use Ball FloraPlant identifies this cultivar as ‘Balcabpurim’ and describes it as part of the early-flowering Cabaret series. The product page lists it for 4.5–6-inch pots through larger baskets, with 6–10 inches of height and 10–12 inches of spread. Its [exact breeder profile](https://www.ballfloraplant.com/Products/Details/?phid=066003480004341) lists sun exposure and medium-mounded habit. The plant patent identifies the same denomination and describes violet flowers with darker violet venation and a mounded-trailing form. ## Growing conditions Choose a sunny position and a container with drainage holes ([Illinois Extension](https://extension.illinois.edu/flowers/calibrachoa)). Use a free-draining potting mix; the breeder warns against saturated media and large changes in soil moisture. ## Maintenance Check container moisture regularly and keep conditions fairly even, allowing excess water to drain away. The Cabaret series is described by Ball as early flowering and staying open under low-light production conditions. Garden flowering and color intensity vary with light and local conditions.
