Callie® ‘Deep Yellow’ is a trailing calibrachoa with bright yellow, trumpet-shaped flowers and green foliage. It flowers through summer into autumn and works well spilling from baskets and patio containers.
## Garden use and season
Use it to edge a sunny container or combine it with other warm-season annuals. The [RHS profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/241573/calibrachoa-callie-deep-yellow-cal-depyel/details) describes yellow trumpet flowers over a long summer and autumn season and identifies the plant as Callie Deep Yellow; the [Canadian variety record](https://active.inspection.gc.ca/english/plaveg/pbrpov/cropreport/cal/app00005471e.shtml) links that trade name to the denomination ‘Cal Depyel’ and records the deeper-yellow flower color.
## Growing conditions
Choose full sun and a sheltered position, with a free-draining mix that stays lightly moist. Calibrachoa is a tender perennial usually grown as an annual; [NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/calibrachoa-x-hybrida/) recommends full sun and organically rich, well-drained soil for the group. Leave room for trailing stems, especially in mixed planters.
## Maintenance
Water container plants when the mix starts to dry, then let excess water drain away. Avoid leaving the roots waterlogged. Remove tired stems if needed to maintain the shape; calibrachoa does not require routine deadheading to continue producing flowers.
