About Cielo Blue Star - Calibrachoa

Calibrachoa Cielo Blue Star is offered in the Cielo series in a current grower order form. Calibrachoas are compact, spreading flowering plants with small petunia-like blooms; their exact habit and flower display vary by selection. ## Garden use and season Calibrachoa hybrids suit containers, hanging baskets and sunny border edges, where their low, spreading growth can soften a rim or fill the front of a planting. They are usually grown as warm-season annuals and flower over a long summer season. ## Growing conditions Choose a sunny site for the strongest flowering. Calibrachoa grows best in moist, organically rich, well-drained soil; in containers, use a fast-draining mix and a pot with open drainage. Partial shade is tolerated, though it may reduce flowering. ## Maintenance Water when the mix begins to dry and let excess water drain away. Feed regularly through the growing season with a balanced fertilizer. Calibrachoa generally needs no deadheading to keep blooming, but remove damaged stems and spent plants at the end of the season.
