About Cruze® Control Blue Star - Calibrachoa

Cruze® Control Blue Star is a calibrachoa in Green Fuse Botanicals’ Cruze® Control series. The breeder’s [series culture sheet](https://green-fuse.com/new/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Calibrachoa-Cruze%C2%AE-Control.pdf) describes a mounded, self-branching form with large flowers and recommends pots, hanging baskets, and combination planters. ## Placement Grow this calibrachoa in a container, hanging basket, or combination planter. For outdoor growing, choose a sunny position; [NC State Extension’s general calibrachoa guidance](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/calibrachoa-x-hybrida/common-name/calibrachoa/) recommends full sun. ## Soil and water Use a free-draining potting mix and keep it evenly moist during active growth. Avoid overwatering, especially in cool or low-light conditions, and let the mix dry somewhat between irrigations as plants mature, following the breeder’s culture guidance. ## Maintenance The series is self-branching, so routine pinching is generally unnecessary. A light pinch a week or two after transplanting can improve the finished shape. Keep foliage dry when possible and provide good air circulation.
