About Cruze® Control Lemon - Calibrachoa

Cruze® Control Lemon is listed among the selections in Green Fuse Botanicals’ [Cruze® Control series](https://green-fuse.com/new/calibrachoa-cruze/). The breeder describes the series as early flowering, large flowered, and mounded in its [culture sheet](https://green-fuse.com/new/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Calibrachoa-Cruze%C2%AE-Control.pdf). ## Growing conditions Plant in full sun and use fertile, well-drained potting mix. Keep the mix evenly moist during active growth, while allowing excess water to drain. Green Fuse cautions that overwatering can cause root problems, especially in cool, low-light conditions. [Illinois Extension’s general calibrachoa guidance](https://extension.illinois.edu/flowers/calibrachoa) also recommends full sun, moist well-drained soil, and regular feeding, particularly for container plants. ## Garden use The mounded form suits patio pots, hanging baskets, and combination planters. The breeder recommends 4–8 inch pots as well as baskets and mixed containers. Use the plant as part of a seasonal display with other annuals. ## Maintenance Water when the potting mix begins to dry and let excess drain away. Feed regularly while the plant is actively growing in a container. A light pinch a week or two after transplanting can improve fullness; the series branches naturally. Keep foliage dry and provide good air circulation.
