About Colibri™ Tangerine Calibrachoa hybrida

Colibri™ Tangerine is a compact, early-flowering Calibrachoa selection in Danziger’s [Colibri series](https://www.danzigeronline.com/catalog/annuals/colibri-tangerine/). The breeder lists plants 10–12 inches tall and wide for pots, hanging baskets, ground cover, and combinations. ## Placement and flowering Danziger describes Tangerine as early flowering with a compact habit. Its small scale suits a container, basket, or the front of a seasonal bed; the breeder also lists it for mixed plantings. The series page notes that Colibri varieties are selected for small-pot production and tidy baskets. ## Growing conditions For Calibrachoa generally, [NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/calibrachoa-x-hybrida/) recommends full sun and moist, organically rich, well-drained soil. The extension describes the genus as tender and usually grown as an annual where winters are cold; those are general Calibrachoa growing conditions. ## Maintenance Check container moisture frequently during warm weather, and water before the mix dries out completely. Keep drainage open and feed regularly during the blooming season. NC State notes that routine deadheading is not needed to encourage flowering.
