About EYECONIC™ Purple Calibrachoa hybrida

EYECONIC Purple is a Calibrachoa selection in Danziger’s [EYECONIC series](https://www.danzigeronline.com/series_annuals/eyeconic/). The breeder describes the series as controlled semi-trailing plants with large single flowers and contrasting eyes. ## Form and placement Danziger lists pots, hanging baskets, ground-cover plantings, and combinations as uses for EYECONIC Calibrachoa. Its semi-trailing habit can spill over a container edge or soften the front of a seasonal planting while the large flowers remain visible. ## Growing conditions For Calibrachoa generally, [Illinois Extension](https://extension.illinois.edu/flowers/calibrachoa) recommends full sun and moist, well-drained soil. The extension describes the genus as compact and vigorous and notes a May–October flowering season in Illinois. ## Maintenance Keep container mix evenly moist but well drained and feed regularly during active growth. Illinois Extension recommends pinching Calibrachoa back to maintain a compact form and notes that flowers may continue into fall.
