Create design onlineAbout EYECONIC™ Strawberry Calibrachoa hybrida
EYECONIC™ Strawberry is a semi-trailing calibrachoa bred for large, single flowers with a contrasting eye. Its compact scale and cascading growth make it useful in patio pots, hanging baskets, and mixed containers.
## Form and placement
Danziger lists a 12–14 inch height and 12–16 inch width, with use in pots, baskets, and as ground cover. The breeder highlights a controlled semi-trailing habit, extra-large flowers, and blooming under a 10-hour day. Its large flowers are marked by a contrasting eye.
## Growing conditions
Calibrachoa is commonly grown as a warm-season annual. Give it full sun and a freely draining, acidic potting mix; UMN Extension recommends pH 5.0–6.5. Keep container soil moist without leaving roots in standing water. A small pot may dry quickly in hot weather. Use it where a low flowering edge can spill over a planter, or in combinations that need repeated color through the growing season.
## Seasonal display
Danziger notes that the variety flowers under a 10-hour day, while extension guidance describes calibrachoa as a long-season bloomer. Flowering pace depends on warmth, light, and care. USDA perennial hardiness is not assigned here because this tender bedding crop is generally grown as an annual.
## Maintenance
Keep the potting mix evenly moist but never waterlogged, checking baskets often in warm or windy weather. Feed regularly during active growth according to the product label. Faded flowers do not need routine removal; trim a stem only if it becomes untidy or bare.
