About OMBRE™ Blue Calibrachoa hybrida

OMBRE™ Blue is a semi-trailing Calibrachoa with a range of flower colors on each plant. Danziger describes it as early flowering, with large blooms and a 12–14-inch height and spread, and recommends it for pots, hanging baskets, ground cover, and landscape use ([breeder profile](https://www.danzigeronline.com/catalog/annuals/ombre-blue/)). ## Placement and growing conditions Grow it in full sun in a container or basket, or place it near the front of a seasonal planting where its trailing stems can spread. Calibrachoa generally performs best in moist, organically rich soil that drains well. Partial shade is tolerated but can reduce flowering. The OMBRE series’ color variation offers a mixed-color effect on a single plant. ## Flowering The breeder lists early flowering and large flowers, and notes flowering under a 10-hour day as a production feature. That statement describes breeder production performance rather than a minimum outdoor light requirement. Actual flower color and abundance can shift with growing conditions. ## Maintenance Water regularly, especially in containers, while avoiding saturated potting mix. Feed during active flowering to maintain growth and bloom. Routine deadheading is not required for calibrachoa to continue flowering. Treat it as a tender seasonal annual in areas with frost ([NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/calibrachoa-x-hybrida/)).
