About Kabloom™ Orange Calibrachoa

Kabloom™ Orange is a seed-raised calibrachoa with bright orange, petunia-like flowers and a compact, spreading display. It is used as a seasonal bedding and container plant, with stems that soften the edges of pots and baskets while carrying flowers through the warm part of the growing season. ## Form and use [PanAmerican Seed’s Kabloom catalog](https://www.panamseed.com/documents/catalogs/18324_PASCatalog2020_Final_Allpages_LR.pdf) identifies Kabloom Orange as an F1 seed variety and gives a mature height of 8–12 inches and spread of 10–14 inches. The [Royal Horticultural Society’s Kabloom series profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/353705/calibrachoa-kabloom-series/details) describes the first seed-raised calibrachoas as trailing plants with petunia-like flowers in colors including orange. Use this cultivar in containers or at the front of a sunny seasonal planting, allowing room for its spreading stems. ## Growing conditions Provide full sun and a moist but well-drained medium. Calibrachoa is tender and is commonly grown as an annual, so the USDA zone value should not be read as a guarantee of winter survival. Avoid waterlogged soil and use a container with open drainage if garden soil remains wet. ## Maintenance Water when the root zone begins to dry, then let excess water drain freely. Check containers more often during hot, bright weather, since small pots dry faster than beds. Remove damaged stems as needed to keep the plant tidy; routine removal of spent flowers is generally unnecessary for calibrachoa.
