MiniFamous® Neo Lavender Blue is a trailing calibrachoa selection with a cascading habit. It suits containers and hanging baskets, and is generally grown as an annual outside frost-free climates.
## Flowers and form
The cultivar denomination KLECA08170 is identified by the RHS as MiniFamous Lavender Blue; the catalog’s Neo Lavender Blue wording is also used in grower trials. RHS describes Calibrachoa as mostly trailing, with petunia-like flowers over a long season ([RHS cultivar profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/338629/calibrachoa-minifamous-lavender-blue-kleca08170-minifamous-series/details)). A Canadian comparison record also identifies KLECA08170 as MiniFamous Lavender Blue ([CFIA record](https://active.inspection.gc.ca/english/plaveg/pbrpov/cropreport/cal/app00008358e.shtml)).
## Siting and care
Choose a sunny, sheltered position and a well-drained container mix. Keep the root zone evenly moist, avoiding both waterlogging and severe drying. Illinois Extension recommends full sun, fertile moist but well-drained soil, and regular feeding for calibrachoa ([Illinois Extension](https://extension.illinois.edu/flowers/calibrachoa)).
## Maintenance
Trim damaged or unusually long stems as needed to maintain an even cascade. Remove spent material for appearance, although calibrachoa flowers continuously under suitable conditions. The cultivar is a tender perennial usually grown as an annual; protect it from frost.
