About MiniFamous® Uno Ember Eclipse Calibrachoa

MiniFamous® Uno Ember Eclipse is a compact calibrachoa selected for yellow flowers marked with red veins and a red-magenta edge. Its mounded, moderately compact form and early flowering make it suited to colorful seasonal containers, hanging baskets, and mixed plantings. ## Flowers and form The cultivar is marketed by [Selecta One](https://www.selectanorthamerica.com/Trixi/SeriesInfo/?phid=066008455053229) as MiniFamous® Uno Ember Eclipse and is identified in its [plant patent](https://www.hort.net/pedia/patent/grant/37061/) by the cultivar denomination ‘KLECA23987’. The patent describes its distinctive yellow, red-veined flowers with a red-magenta border and mounding habit. The breeder’s series profile gives a mature size of about 8–10 inches tall and 10–12 inches wide. ## Siting and water Grow in sun for the strongest flowering display. Use a well-drained container mix and water consistently so the root ball does not dry completely; avoid leaving the medium saturated. The breeder lists pots, baskets, and combination planters as uses and notes excellent heat tolerance for this selection. Treat it as a warm-season annual where winter conditions are too cold for calibrachoa; local frost dates determine the display season. ## Maintenance Check containers frequently in hot or windy weather and water when the surface begins to dry. Remove damaged stems as needed to keep the plant tidy. Feed according to the container fertilizer label during active growth, avoiding excessive fertilizer that can produce foliage at the expense of flowers.
