Create design onlineAbout Superbells® 'Yellow' - Calibrachoa
Superbells® Yellow is sold as Calibrachoa × hybrida ‘Balcal1004’ (USPP 29,528, published July 17, 2018). The selection has dark yellow flowers, medium green foliage, and moderately vigorous mounded-trailing growth; [the patent](https://patents.google.com/patent/USPP29528P2/en) documents these traits, while [Plantworks Nursery](https://www.plantworksnursery.com/plant/Calibrachoa-Superbells-Yellow) links the cultivar code to the Superbells® Yellow trade name.
## Site and season
Plant in sun and give its trailing stems room to spill over a basket or planter edge. The patent describes flowering from spring through autumn. Plantworks lists a 6–12 inch height and 12–24 inch spread for this selection.
## Planting and care
For calibrachoa generally, [North Carolina Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/calibrachoa-x-hybrida/) recommends moist but well-drained soil, regular feeding, and fast drainage in containers. These are genus-level care recommendations; the patent’s greenhouse measurements are not treated as mature garden dimensions.
## Maintenance
Calibrachoa generally does not need deadheading to keep blooming. Trim long or open stems when needed to encourage branching and restore a fuller shape.
