About Campana Deep Blue Campanula

[Campana Deep Blue](https://www.panamseed.com/products/013006226000653/campanula-campana-deep-blue/) is a greenhouse cut-flower selection of Campanula medium, commonly called bellflower or Canterbury bells. It produces upright stems with deep blue, bell-shaped blooms. PanAmerican Seed lists the Campana series for professional cut-flower production, with strong stems and uniform timing. ## Form and flowering The breeder lists a height of 30–34 inches and upright habit. In a garden setting, Canterbury bells generally flower in summer and may be grown as biennials; greenhouse production can be timed across different seasons with day-length management. It is suited to cutting gardens and floral arrangements. ## Growing conditions Grow in full sun or partial shade in moist, well-drained soil, as recommended by [NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/campanula-medium/common-name/canterbury-bells/). NC State Extension recommends cooler growing conditions and notes that warm regions may need afternoon shade. The exact Campana seed product is sold for greenhouse production, so outdoor performance can vary with climate and crop schedule. ## Maintenance Stake stems if the site is windy or plants are exposed. Remove spent flower spikes to keep the display tidy; allow some seed capsules to mature if reseeding is desired. Watch for slugs, snails, rust and powdery mildew.
