Chocolate Sunrise Canna Lily

Canna 'Chocolate Sunrise' is an erect, clump-forming selection grown for bronze foliage and orange flowers. The [Royal Horticultural Society profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/318917/canna-chocolate-sunrise/details) gives a mature height of 1–1.5 m and spread of 0.5–1 m, with flowers in summer and autumn. ## Seasonal Interest The RHS describes orange flower spikes above bronze leaves. A current [Horn Canna Farm listing](https://cannas.net/products/chocolate-sunrise-canna-bulb) independently identifies the selection and describes orange flowers in summer. Its cultivar identity is retained as a named selection; the catalog's existing parent relationship remains intact. ## Siting and Soil Plant in full sun and allow room for an upright clump. The RHS dimensions convert to about 3.3–4.9 feet tall and 1.6–3.3 feet wide. The existing 0.8 m height point falls below that exact-selection range, so no point height is reported; the recorded 0.6 m width falls within the cited spread range. ## Maintenance Cannas generally need warmth, steady moisture, and frost protection in cold climates. Follow the [RHS Canna growing guide](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/canna/growing-guide) for general rhizome and winter-care practices.
